Sets the communication interface between the AS10 and the Host
PC, meaning the communication interface for AS10
’s
data output.
Six choices are available.
Configuration Method:
Choose one of the six, and press
5-3. Communication Interface

to transfer parameter
values to the AS10.
Default setting: BT-HID
Each Communication Interface is elaborated upon below:
1)
USB-VCP
Use USB Virtual COM as communication interface.
Data will be sent in hexadecimal format.
2)
USB-HID
Use the USB HID Keyboard as communication interface.
Tag data will be sent in ASCII format. For example, tag data <0x03> is sent to the host as
<0x30><0x33>, 2 bytes in total.
3)
Memory
When using Memory as the communication interface, the AS10 will not output scanned data, will store
them within its internal memory as a file (about 2MB in size). To access that file, a connection with
the Host PC is required.
Tag data will be stored in ASCII format. For example, tag data <0x03> is stored in AS10 as
<0x30><0x33>, 2 bytes in total.
4)
BT-HID
Uses the Bluetooth HID Keyboard communication interface.
Tag data will be sent in ASCII format. For example, tag data <0x03> is sent to the host as
<0x30><0x33>, 2 bytes in total.
5)
BT-SPP
Uses the Bluetooth SPP (BT Virtual COM) communication interface.
Tag data will be sent in hexadecimal format.
6)
Wireless Dongle
Uses the Wireless(Bluetooth) Dongle communication interface.
Tag data will be sent in ASCII format. For example, tag data <0x03> is sent to the host as
<0x30><0x33>, 2 bytes in total.
