POWER TAKE-OFF
PTO transfers power and movement to the equipment
directly.
Equipments today generally operate with 540 rpm. Engine-
operated PTOs are manufactured with a speed of 540E/540
rpm as standard.
Minimum engine speed that allows the operation of the
equipment provides fuel economy. But the time required
to complete the work is increased. Maximum engine speed
that allows the operation of the equipment provides time
economy. But fuel consumption is increased.
Operation of Road PTO
1. To activate the PTO, lift the clutch lever up first, select the
proper speed with speed selector, and then lower the clutch
lever.
2. Fix the engine speed with the help of hand throttle to
obtain the desired speed from the PTO. (See Technical data
PTO - engine speed relationship chart)
3. To deactivate the PTO, lift the clutch lever up, and bring
the speed selector to neutral position. Lower the clutch lever
again. In some of our models, PTO speed selector is on the
transmission and it is controlled externally. Warning lamp on
the instrument panel that indicates whether the PTO clutch
is engaged, PTO speed selector position and required PTO
speed as per the engine speed may be available on the digital
display. (This feature is not available on some models.)
