3.4 Checking the functionality of the product
The operability of the enabled DIS is checked in three stages.
3.4.1 Initialization test
Running an initialization test:
disconnect the communication cable from the socket on the back of the DIS;
pause for about 10 s for complete discharge of the filtering power capacities in
the DIS;
connect the cable back to the socket, make sure that the DIS initialization was
successful, as described in 2.5.1.
3.4.2 Checking the acoustic path
The acoustic path is checked by trial communication sessions with several subscribers,
the work with which is programmed, while the volume of the built-in speakers and headset
is subjectively controlled, as well as the clarity and intelligibility of speech, both when
transmitting a voice message and when listening.
If necessary, the volume level of the built-in speakers and headset is adjusted using the
programmed buttons with the local “Volume Control” function.
3.4.3 Checking the operation of direct keys
To check the functioning of the direct keys, it is necessary to press the buttons
alternately, requesting the subscribers assigned to them, or to check other functions
assigned to the buttons from the central.
If necessary, it is allowed to change the configuration of the DIS using the software of
the workplace of the administrator of the DCN, IPN system.
