PORT
The RS232 serial port allows the connection of a PC (COM port) by means of a pin-to-pin serial cable provided
(if a different cable is used, it should be of the pin-to-pin type with a max. length of 3 metres).
The computer interface in factory setup port has the following characteristics as shown:

a) SD = With the UPS battery mode, shut down signal to switch off the UPS: +(5 ÷ 15) V DC for at least 20
seconds. Following this impulse the UPS shuts down immediately.
b) B.W. = contact closed in battery mode status (max. ratings:25mA +35Vdc Vce sat max: 1,5V @ 25mA)
c) B.L. = contact closed in battery low status (max. ratings:25mA +35Vdc Vce sat max: 1,5V @ 25mA)
d) UPS failure/Alarm = contact closed in UPS failure/Alarm status (max. ratings:25mA +35Vdc Vce sat max:

USB
P
ORT
The USB port is used to establish communication between the UPS and a computer.
When the communication cable is installed, power management software(
Watch & Save 3000
) can exchange
data with the UPS. The software polls the UPS for detailed information on the status of the power environment. If
a power emergency occurs, the software initiates the saving of all data and an orderly shutdown of the
equipment.

LOT
All UPS come with an expansion slot for optional communication boards so that the unit is compatible with the
main communication standards.
Some examples:
Serial port duplexer
x
Ethernet network agent with TCP/IP, HTTP and SNMP protocols
x
RS232 + RS485 port with JBUS / MODBUS protocol
