Precautions on Use
The KEVLAR EATER has been designed to be resistant against
long-time use, however, bear in mind that the wrong usage may
not assure it of the best performance.
It is advised to pay attention to the following points:
1. Since the cutting edge is designed for high-precision use, do not attempt
to use the cutting edge violently.
- Bear in mind that opening the can lid with the tip of the cutting edge or
levering it incorrectly may cause the cutting edge to be broken.
- Do not attempt to cut cardboard, tin plate, wire, wood, etc.
- Since it is designed exclusively for aramid fabric, using it for glass fiber,
carbon fabric, etc. may result in decreased durability.
2. Tightening the cutting blades can be performed easily by the dial nut. Be
careful not to tighten or loosen them excessively, as it could result in a
broken cutting edge, etc.
3. To insure smooth operation, it is recommended that regular maintenance
including lubrication, be performed, including applying a drop of dedicated
oil to the sliding face, etc.
prior to use.
4. Do not attempt to disassemble the unit in any cases, as it may become
difficult to restore the original cutting condition, or to assure the desired
cutting efficiency.
5. Be careful not to allow thinner or oil, etc. to adhere to the grip, as it may
result in a cause of discoloration, paint separation, etc.
