14.7.1.9. Pad Poly Aftertouch
The MiniBrute 2S pads are pressure-sensitive, and have two ways to put that to use. When
this parameter is Off the pad pressure behaves like most MIDI keyboards with Aftertouch:
a single set of aftertouch data is sent on the User MIDI channel, and it affects all voices
equally.
But when this parameter is set to On, each individual pad can transmit its own aftertouch
value. This is known as polyphonic aftertouch. If the sound source on the other end of the
data stream is capable of responding to this sort of data, the added expressiveness will
amaze you.
♪
: Since the MiniBrute 2S is monophonic it cannot respond to polyphonic aftertouch. But it is a very
useful and expressive feature to have as a creative option for your system. But keep in mind that Pad
Poly Aftertouch generates a significant amount of control data, and if the devices in your system are
only capable of receiving Channel Aftertouch, you should consider disabling this feature.
14.7.1.10. Pad MIDI Out Port
With this setting the MiniBrute 2S will know if you want the data generated by the keyboard
to be sent to the USB port, the MIDI Output, or both.
14.7.1.11. Seq MIDI Out Port
With this setting the MiniBrute 2S will know if you want the data generated by the sequencer
to be sent to the USB port, the MIDI Output, or both.
