b. the locking rod is fully engaged between the rollers before the lift car has
moved more than 2 inches away from the lower landing, and the sensing
switch is actuated;
c. when the locking rod is fully engaged, it cannot move vertically between the
rollers more than 1/8"; and
d. the locking rod retracts smoothly from between the rollers when the lift car
reaches the lower landing.
Take care not to pinch or damage the skirt when raising or lowering the lift car while
the skirt is retracted. Also be careful not to damage the sensing switch terminals
and wiring harness while adjusting the rollers.
3. To remove the rollers, perform the following steps:
a. Use a 9/16" wrench to loosen the two (2) 3/8-24 nuts. It may be necessary to
use a large standard screwdriver to keep the rollers from rotating while the
nuts are being turned.
b. Remove the two (2) 1/4-20 x 1" bolts with a 7/16" wrench or socket and pull
the bracket and rollers free.
4. When reinstalling the rollers, refer to Step 2 above for instructions on adjusting the
rollers.
