5.4 Cleaning
5.4.1 Top plate of the range
The pot grid supports can be removed to make cleaning of the top plate easier. Do not clean the pot
supports with soap-steel-wool pads (e. g. AKO pads, Abbrazzo) or other cleaning aids that scratch.
The burner covers can also be removed. Never clean the burner covers in the dishwasher
(Affects the function!)
When cleaning the top plate, care must be taken that no dirt or water can get into the burners. To do this,
cover the main burner and the pilot flame tightly with aluminium foil. The cover of the pilot flame can be
removed if there is heavier soiling. A discolouration of the pilot flame cover due to the temperature of the
pilot flame is possible but does not impair its function.
Do not flood the top plate – wipe it out with cloths.
5.4.2 Roasting and baking oven
To avoid interruptions in operation and for hygiene reasons, the appliance should be cleaned daily after
use. The seats at the sides for the containers can be disengaged, taken out and cleaned in the
dishwasher. The oven floor can also be removed.
Spray grids and surfaces of the oven with commercially available stainless steel cleaner or oven cleaner1
(spray on, close the oven door and leave for 10 to 20 minutes to take effect. Then clean with a coarse
sponge and wipe out with clear water. After the cleaning, leave the oven door open for ventilation of the
oven.
ATTENTION! The cleaning agent to be used must be free of chlorine and fluorine compounds as these
halides can attack even high-quality stainless steel.
6 Repair and Maintenance
6.1 Repair and maintenance
Please also observe the cleaning and care instructions in the annex!
If there are any signs that functioning is impaired even in the slightest or there are other defects, e. g.
traces of rust, changes in flame pattern, changes in operating behaviour or unusual odours, maintenance
or service is necessary.
6.2 Measures to be taken for longer stoppages
If the appliance is taken out of service, the first step is to close all gas valves on the appliance and then
close the gas supply valve in the customer's extent of supply.
Clean the appliance thoroughly. Dry out the oven completely before the doors are closed.
Disconnect the appliance from the mains.
