the "Update-Set".

System Upgrade from I6.x (x<5) to I6.5
Upgrading a 2025/2045 or 2065 system from I6.x (x<5) to I6.5 requires new system
software and additional RAM and flash memory. An "Update-Set 6.5" consisting of
a RAM card and a Flash card is provided for this purpose. (When upgrading a sys-
tem 2065 from I6.x (x<5) to I6.5, the RAM card does not necessarily have to be re-
placed, since in this case a 64 MB RAM card is already fitted). The Flash card also
contains an I6.5 software package, which simplifies the upgrade. Besides the PBX
application software the software package also contains the software for the AIP
expansion cards AIP-6500 and for the IP system terminals Office 35IP. The same up-
date set is used for the systems 2025/2045 and 2065.
1.
Installing and starting AIMS 6.5. Select I6 as the PBX generation.
2.

"Download
" followed by a
"Backup
"). This is
necessary as the current PBX data cannot be transferred to the new system auto-
matically.
3.
Change the
"PBX generation"
in AIMS to I6.5.
Note: If the PBX generation is incorrect, AIMS cannot access the PBX after the
software upgrade and generates the corresponding error message.
4.
Any AIP cards 6350 used have to be disconnected from the IP network.
5.
Replacing the Flash card: Carry out steps 2-7 as described in
.
6.
Replacing the RAM card: Carry out steps 3-12 as described in
.
