7.
Carrying out a first start. The PBX starts with the I6.5 system software that is al-
ready stored on the Flash card.
8.
Use AIMS and the initialization password of the Installer authorization level to
set up an online connection to the PBX. Next alter the initialization passwords to
obtain access to the PBX. (For IP addressing after a first start, see section
)
9.
Load the saved configuration data using AIMS under
"Restore"
, and if necessary
save the data in the PBX with
"Upload"
.
10.
The PBX reboots.
11.
If Office 35IP IP system terminals are connected to the PBX, you need to enter
the IP address of the PBX on all the terminals. This has to be done because as of
PBX generation I6.5 the IP system terminals no longer register via the Ethernet
interface of the AIP cards but via those of the PBX. Once the new address has
been entered, the IP system terminals automatically register with the system.
12.
Carry out a reset on all the AIP cards 6350 used, and then reconnect them with
the IP network. The cards log to the system. The new AIP software is then up-
loaded automatically. The AIP-6350 cards are then converted to AIP-6500 cards.
13.
The Office 35IP system terminals restart and log on to the system. An upload is
carried out for all terminals with a software version older than that of the soft-
ware package (Prerequisite: Boot SW Office 35IP >= 2.0.0)
14.
The PBX is ready for operation with the old system software and the familiar sys-
tem configuration.
15.
AIMS 6.50 is required in order to update the system. Once AIMS 6.50 has been
installed and started, the switch in PBX generation from I6 to I6.5 has to be car-
ried out in the AIMS Shell.
Note: If the PBX generation is incorrect AIMS is unable to access the PBX after the
software upgrade.
16.
Set up an AIMS online connection to the PBX, enter the purchased licence
number in the Configuration Manager and store it in the PBX.
Note:
An I6.5system software on a system with insufficient Flash and/or RAM
memory is unable to run, and outputs the corresponding error mes-
sages. The system hardware has to be updated beforehand using the
"Update-Set".
