If you do not reset the Check Filter indicator when it first appears, it will begin to flash after the unit has
been operated for a total of 3,500 cumulative hours as an additional reminder.
4.3. Ultraviolet Germicidal Lamp Status Indicators
When either the “UV1” or “UV2” icons illuminate, it means that the related UV lamp is not working
properly. There are 2 possible causes: 1. The affected lamp is not properly seated in its sockets in
which case you should remove and reinsert the lamp as indicated in sections 9 and 10 below, or, 2.
The affected lamp is burned out and needs to be replaced. A burned out lamp is usually indicated by
a black ring around the inside of the glass tube on either or both ends just before the end caps as
shown in the image below. Replacement is described in sections 9 and 10 below. We suggest that
you replace the lamps in pairs.

4.4. Timer Indicator
When in Timer Mode the number of hours until shut-off will be displayed.
4.5. Purify Air Mode Indicator
Illuminates when the unit is in the Purify Air mode.
4.6. Auto Mode Indicator
Illuminates when the unit is in the Auto mode.
4.7. Fan Speed Indicator
Shows the current fan speed setting.

Operating Modes
5.1. Standby Mode
In the Standby mode, no letters or icons will be shown on the display, only a small red LED in the
bottom right corner of the LED Display will be illuminated to indicate that the unit is plugged into a
power source.
5.2. Manual Mode
In the Manual mode the fan is working to pull air through the filters but the germicidal ultraviolet lamps
are not on. To activate the manual mode, from the standby mode simply press the Power Button to
