AIR PRESSURE GAUGE
—
This gauge indicates the system air
pressure level and should read 70–80 PSI.
SYRINGE AIR / WATER
—
The upper valve controls air flow
and the lower valve controls water flow to the syringe. Use a
small flathead screwdriver to adjust. Rotate counter-clockwise
to increase flow and clockwise to decrease flow.
SCALER COOLANT
(AEU-350S ONLY)
AUXILIARY COOLANT
(AEU-
350 ONLY)

This knob controls water coolant to the scaler or
auxiliary water port, depending on the model of your unit.
Rotate counter-clockwise to increase flow and clockwise to
decrease flow.
WARNING:
Water coolant must create a mist at the scaler
tip to prevent overheating and injury to the patient.

The syringe can be placed here when
not in use.
MOTOR HOLDER
—
The motor can be placed here when not
in use.
AUTOMATIC SALIVA EJECTOR HOLDER
—
The saliva ejector
can be placed here when not in use. Integrated into this holder
is a switch that automatically turns on the vacuum when the
instrument is removed from the holder.
The automatic holder lockout must be in the up
position to enable the automatic vacuum switch.
AUTOMATIC HVE HOLDER
—
The high volume ejector can
be placed here when not in use. Integrated into this holder
is a switch that automatically turns on the vacuum when the
instrument is removed from the holder.
The automatic holder lockout must be in the up
position to enable the automatic vacuum switch.
AUTOMATIC HOLDER LOCKOUT
—
Set this switch to the up
position to enable the automatic switches in the saliva ejector
and HVE ejector holders. Set in the down position to
disable the automatic switches and turn off the vacuum.
When using the 4-position secondary instrument holder
for the saliva and HVE ejectors (see
Expanded Setup
,
page 6), use the automatic holder lockout as the
vacuum on/off switch.

MOTOR / SCALER ON/OFF —
Select the desired mode from
the touch screen motor/scaler mode segment .

MOTOR MODE
: Press the footswitch to activate the motor with
air and water coolant at the current settings on the control
panel.

SCALER MODE

: Press the footswitch to activate the scaler with
scaler water coolant at the current settings on the control
panel.
Water and Waste Containers

WATER BOTTLE —
When empty, switch the unit off before
removing the water bottle to refill with sterile or distilled
water.
Do not use saline in the unit. Saline will corrode the system
plumbing and void the warranty.
WASTE CONTAINER —
The waste container bracket features
a blue LED optical sensor that will automatically shut off the
system vacuum when the waste container reaches capacity.
A blue light flashing from behind the waste container also
indicates the container is full. To empty, switch off the vacuum
using the automatic holder lockout , then hold down the
spring-loaded lever below the waste container to remove it
from the unit.
