SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Aseptico accepts no liability for direct or consequential injury or dam-
age resulting from improper use, arising in particular through the
non-observance of the operating instructions, or improper preparation
and maintenance of this product.
To prevent injury to people and damage to property, please
heed relevant warnings and remarks. They are marked as follows:
• WARNING
: Serious injury or death may result if ignored.
• CAUTION
: Damage to property or the environment may result
if ignored.
• NOTE
: Important additional information and hints.
s
WARNING:
For use by qualified and trained personnel only.
s
WARNING:
Clean, disinfect, and sterilize new or repaired hand-
pieces and instruments before first use and between each
patient use. Only use sterilized handpieces and instruments
during treatment. Non-sterilized handpieces and instruments
may cause bacterial or viral infections. Always sterilize hand-
pieces and instruments after operation.
s
CAUTION:
Always examine unit components for damage be-
fore commencing treatment. Damaged components must not
be used and must be replaced.
s
WARNING:
Use for intended purposes only. Failure to observe
the operating instructions may result in the patient or user suf-
fering serious injury or the product being damaged, possibly
beyond repair. Before using this product, make sure that you
have studied and understood the operating instructions.
s
WARNING:
Do not install where there is a risk of an explosion.
The system is not intended for operation in the presence of
flammable anesthetics or gases.
s
WARNING:
Always operate a high-speed handpiece with water
coolant. Operating a high-speed handpiece without water cool-
ant can cause thermal injury to the patient.
s
CAUTION:
The lens for the electric motor LED is soft and can be
damaged. If the lens needs to be cleaned, use a lint-free swab
and isopropyl alcohol - do not use other solvents as they might
adversely react with the LED assembly.
s
WARNING:
Do not use this device for dental implant proce-
dures.
s
CAUTION:
Do not run saline solutions through the water sys-
tem—saline will corrode the plumbing.
s
WARNING:
Ultrasonic scaler instrument tips oscillate at high
frequency and can fracture during operation. To help prevent
the tips from fracturing and possibly injuring the patient, always
follow the scaler manufacturer’s operating instructions and rec-
ommended ultrasonic power settings.
s
WARNING:
Do not use an ultrasonic scaler dry. If used dry, the
Instrument tip will heat immediately. This may cause thermal in-
jury to the tooth. Ensure that adequate liquid coolant is always
available.
s
CAUTION:
Never use an ultrasonic scaler on metal or porcelain
restorations. The high frequency ultrasonic oscillations may
loosen the restoration.

ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY
This equipment meets all requirements for safety and perfor-
mance, related to Electromagnetic Compatibility Standard IEC
60601-1-2:2014.
s
NOTE:
The emissions characteristics of this equipment make it
suitable for use in industrial areas and hospitals (CISPR 11 class
A). If it is used in a residential environment (for which CISPR 11
class B is normally required) this equipment might not offer ad-
equate protection to radio-frequency communication services.
The user might need to take mitigation measures, such as relo-
cating or re-orienting the equipment.
s
WARNING:
Use of this equipment adjacent to or stacked with
other equipment should be avoided because it could result in
improper operation. If such use is necessary, this equipment
and the other equipment should be observed to verify that they
are operating normally.
s
WARNING:
Use of accessories, transducers and cables other
than those specified or provided by the manufacturer of this
equipment could result in increased electromagnetic emissions
or decreased electromagnetic immunity of this equipment and
result in improper operation.
s
WARNING:
Portable RF communications equipment (includ-
ing peripherals such as antenna cables and external antennas)
should be used no closer than 30 cm (12 inches) to any part of
the Unit, including cables specified by the manufacturer. Other-
wise, degradation of the performance of this equipment could
result.
