15. OPTIONAL AEU-5000 ELECTRIC
MOTOR & CONTROL PANEL
(Fig. 22) -
There are two different control modes that
can be used to operate the electric motor:
Manual Mode using the console buttons, or
Preset Mode using the preprogrammed
Presets:
A. MANUAL OPERATION
- At any time,
the user can adjust the ratio, speed, torque,
motor direction, and electric motor LED
settings using the control panel keypad (The
Preset indicator in upper left of LCD will
blink on and off, indicating the change):
1)
Depress the Standby
button to turn electric motor
control panel on or off. If the
console was turned off using
the Standby button, the Display will
darken and all the buttons, except the
Standby button, will become inoperative.
Press the Standby button again to turn on
the control panel and return the motor to
its last used settings.
2)
Press the
RATIO
button repeatedly to
select the ratio that
matches the handpiece being used. Available
ratios are: 1:5, 1:2, 1:1, 5:1, and 8:1.
NOTE:
The user can reprogram the unit to
display only a preferred set of ratio(s) from
the five available options. Refer to page 12
for complete instructions on Customizing
Ratios.
3)
Press
the
SPEED
Up/Down
buttons to
select the desired operating speed for the
handpiece being used. See Figure 23 for
handpiece speed ranges.
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT FUNCTIONS:
12. WASTE PUMP SWITCH & WASTE DISCHARGE
QUICK DISCONNECT
(Fig. 21) – A waste pump
switch is provided on the back of the unit to purge
the waste system. A quick disconnect is provided
next to the switch, to attach the drain hose.
NOTE:
The hose must be attached before waste will
discharge.
13. AIR TANK DRAIN VALVE
(Fig. 21) – Allows air
pressure and any condensation to be drained from
air tank. Turn "On" to open drain or "Off" to close
drain.
14. EXTERIOR OUTLET
(Fig. 21) – A 110V outlet is
provided on the back of the unit for powering
accessories. A 220V (Euro Style) outlet is provided
as an option.
NOTE:
The system uses a step down
transformer to apply the proper voltage to the unit
when plugged into the optional 220V. When 110V is
used for the primary voltage entering the unit, the
optional 220V socket will provide 220V output.
