Turn ON vacuum and suction up 1 liter of water mixed with 2 ounces of the
Keep Clear™ solution
(PN 95-0278 or 95-0278-C4; replace atomizer bottle, as
needed; PN95-0320)
. More concentrated solution may be used if desired for
more effective cleaning. Use warm water to improve cleansing. Suction it up by
alternating between the saliva ejector and the high-volume evacuator to clean
the insides of both of those tubings. Do not use more than 1 liter to prevent
overfilling of the canister.
Turn OFF the vacuum.
6
Purge this solution out until empty.
7
Turn OFF the purge pump switch and rewind the purge hose.
8
After the diluted solution is purged out from Step 2 above, suction up 2 ounces of pure concentrated
Keep Clear solution or place an atomizer cap onto bottle of Keep Clear. Place each suction handpiece
over the atomizer port and suction concentrate for a minimum of 30 seconds. This will provide a
mixture of air to swirl and coat the inside of the handpiece tubing. Repeat for each suction handpiece.
Leave the concentrate in overnight and during the next day’s procedures. During the next day, as
patients are seen, the concentrate already in the canister will begin to break down proteins in blood and
saliva.
IMPORTANT! Due to its caustic nature, DO NOT use BLEACH as a disinfectant, as it will corrode certain
internal parts. Small amounts used as an irrigating solution for dental procedures is acceptable.
