At tention!
Unprotected wiring can be manipulated:
The electronic door components are interconnected and con-
trolled via the wiring. The wiring must be installed in a manner such that it is protected from manipulation
and disturbances, and may not be accessible from outside.
Property damage from connection with USB devices:
The connection socket is
not an USB port
and
serves solely for connecting read-out devices at the factory.
Note!
The bus system must be terminated:
The bus system must be terminated with a terminating resistor ar-
ranged as close to the centre as possible. The longest branch connection line may not be longer than 10 m.
Use of motorised locks in systems with fire doors (smoke protection doors):
The
OneSystem
®
IO
module N5950
must be combined with the
fire protection module 519ZBFS
for
use in systems with fire doors
(smoke protection doors)
.
All applicable provisions for the approval of protective doors must be observed.

Description
Terminating
The
Hi-O Technology™ bus
must be equipped with a terminating resistor which
terminates
the bus. Data
transmission could be disrupted if the terminating resistor is missing.
Topology
Bus topology
topology
(topology) refers to the structure for the interconnection of multiple devices via
bus. The
topology
is decisive for the safeguarding of the network against failure, the performance, and the
selection of suitable hardware.
Hi-O Technology™ bus
The
Hi-O Technology™ bus
(Highly Intelligent Opening) is a CAN bus for the connection of electronic
components (devices) in door systems. It is used to control one door, the status monitoring and the
exchange of information between the individual devices (separate instructions D01021
ePED
®
Hi-O Tech-
nology™ bus
).
Hi-O group
Assignment to a
Hi-O group offers the possibility of organising components into groups. Assignment to a
group is conducted using the respective DIP switches (
“Organise products in Hi-O groups”, page 39).
Motorised lock
With a
motorised lock
, the bolt and latch are locked via electric motor.
Coupling lock
With a
coupling lock
, the handle follower is generally split so that the door handle of one side of the lock
can be engaged and disengaged via electronic control.
Lock with monitoring
function
A
lock with monitoring function
is equipped with monitoring contacts for electronic status messages.
