Explanation of terms

Automatic locking In the case of door locks with
automatic locking
, the closed door is always locked
(“Self-locking”, page 50).

Door contact
The
door contact
is a mechanical push-button that is actuated by the striking plate
(“Door contact”, page 50).

Control latch
When the door is closed, the
control latch
extends to the striking plate and is pushed in. In combination
with the position of the striking plate, a check of whether the bolt extension takes place.

Latch bolt
The
latch bolt
engages in the locking plate and controls the function of the control latch and the auto-
matic locking.

Unlocking pin
In the two-leaf lock versions, the
unlocking pin
unlocks the latch block by espagnolette.

Bolt

is always extended by means of automatic locking when the door is closed.

Cylinder fixing

cylinder fixing screw
is provided for the fixing of the locking cylinder in the lock case.

is screwed onto the door.

is a square pin which is guided through the

and ends in the door handle. With
locks with a split lock nut, the handle pin is also split.

Profile cylinder

the cylinder fixing screw.

is the distance from the keyhole centre to the front edge of the face plate.

is the distance from the keyhole centre to the rear edge.

is the counterpart to the lock installed in the door frame (Fig. 17).
