ALARMS
There are three Alarm Relays fitted to the Traka Touch PCB, which can be configured to activate and deactivate under
certain conditions. To set alarms, an admin user will need to log into the system. For further details on how to access
the system, please refer to the ‘Accessing the System’ section.
1.
Access the system and click the Admin button.
2.
Click the Alarms button.
Here you can assign specific alarm conditions to the three relays on the PCB. Each alarm can only be assigned
to one relay at a time. The ‘On Event’ and ‘Off Event’ columns detail what conditions must be met before an
alarm is switched on or off.
In the example below, an alarm with 'Battery Critical’ under the ‘On’ event has been selected. Only when the
battery has a critically low level of power left will the alarm activate. Once the power has been restored, the
alarm will deactivate.
To set an alarm against a relay, simply highlight the desired alarm and then using the directional arrows to the right of
the grid, select the appropriate relay.
Certain alarms can be activated for a set period of time. For example, if you select the 'Item Removed' alarm, you can
define how long the alarm will be active for. This is definable in 1 second increments.
4.
Once you have selected the desired alarms, click Save.
5.
Click Exit and you will be taken back to the Admin screen. From there, click Exit again to return to the login
screen.
