P117 Ventilation Window Lock
Fitting Instructions
Fitting Instructions
1. Assemble the lock as shown in Fig. 1, ensuring the Locking Screw (D) is firmly
tightened using the key. If the window frame has a sloping face you will need to
use the plastic wedge provided under the Base Plate (B) to level the lock.
2. With window closed, position the lock in the opening corner farthest from the
hinge with the Stay Bracket (C) at approximately 14mm from the inside edge of
the frame, as shown in Fig.1.
3. Mark the screw position through the exposed hole in the Base Plate (B).
4. Using the key, loosen the Locking Screw so that the Stay Arm (A) can slide to
reveal the second fixing hole. Mark position and secure the Base Plate using
two of the screws provided.
NOTE:
Ensure that the screw will not touch the glass.
5. Reposition the lock as shown in Fig. 1 and mark the screw positions through
the fixing holes in the Stay Bracket (C). Remove the locking screw and secure
the Stay Bracket to the opening window using the screws provided.
6. Replace the locking screw and test the lock to ensure correct operation.
For top hinged windows follow instructions as above but position lock to the side
frame as shown in Fig. 3.
IMPORTANT
1. Be sure to always locate and lock the rotating locking screw in a notch in the
Stay Arm.
2. Always tighten securely with the
key.
3. Never leave the key in the
presence of young children.
