Hydraulics
Hydraulic pressure-compensated, load-sense pumps
and valves distribute power to several machine assem-
blies:
•
Direct drive hydraulic motors power the following
units:
•
Feed conveyor
•
Compression roll
•
Discharge conveyor
•
Drive tracks
•
One hydraulic cylinder raises and lowers the com-
pression roll. The linkage to this cylinder can be
reconfigured to lift the anvil housing for mainte-
nance.
•
Two hydraulic cylinders fold and unfold the dis-
charge conveyor.
•
One cylinder opens and closes the slide gate on the
feed system.
The hydraulic oil tank (separate from the clutch oil
tank) includes a sight gauge and fill cap. The suction
line contains a ball valve that must remain open when-
ever the engine runs.
