Camera (on selected models)
The built-in camera allows picture taking or video recording. Can be used with video
conferencing and other interactive applications.

Display Panel
The display panel functions the same as a desktop monitor. The Notebook PC uses
an active matrix TFT LCD, which provides excellent viewing like that of desktop
monitors. Unlike desktop monitors, the LCD panel does not produce any radiation or
flickering, so it is easier on the eyes. Use a soft cloth without chemical liquids (use
plain water if necessary) to clean the display panel.

Power Switch
The power switch turns ON and OFF the Notebook PC or putting the Notebook PC into
sleep or hibernation modes. Actual behavior of the power switch can be customized in
Windows Control Panel “Power Options.”

Microphone (Built-in)
The built-in mono microphone can be used for video conferencing, voice narrations, or simple
audio recordings.
Audio Speakers
The built-in stereo speaker system allows you to hear audio without additional attachments.
The multimedia sound system features an integrated digital audio controller that produces
rich, vibrant sound (results improved with external stereo headphones or speakers). Audio
features are software controlled.
Express Gate/ Power4Gear eXtreme Key
Pressing this button will launch Express Gate when the Notebook PC is powered off. Refer to the Ex-
press Gate User’s Manual for details.
The Power4Gear eXtreme key toggles power savings between various power saving modes. The
power saving modes control many aspects of the Notebook
PC to maximize performance versus battery time. Applying or
removing the power adapter will automatically switch the sys-
tem between AC mode and battery mode. The selected mode is
shown on the display.
Multimedia Touch Sensor Panel
The multimedia touch sensor panel allows for convenient controlling of the multimedia
application. Refer to the Touch Sensor Panel User’s Manual for details.
