Getting started
Replacing a headset
You may need to deregister your headsets if:
You have two registered headsets and need to replace one of them.
-OR-
You wish to change the designated headset number and/or the
color of the
ON/OFF
lights of your registered headsets.
You must first deregister both headsets, and then individually
register again each headset you wish to use.
Please read carefully through all the instructions on this page
before beginning the deregistration process.
To deregister all headsets and the dial pad (if applicable)
This procedure deregisters all devices registered to the headset
base including all headsets and the dial pad.
Press and hold
PAIR
on the headset base until the
MUTE
light
on the headset base turns on and starts to flash (at least 10
seconds), then release
PAIR
.
Immediately press and release
PAIR
again. You must press
PAIR
while the
MUTE
light is still flashing. (The light flashes for about
seven seconds. If it stops flashing, start again with step 1 above.)
If the deregistration was successful:
• The
MUTE
light on the headset base turns off.
• The headset
ON/OFF
light(s) flashes twice every 5 seconds.
• The dial pad (if applicable) displays
NOT REGISTERED
.
To register the headset(s) to the headset base
again, see page 28.
NOTES:
If the deregistration process failed, you may need to reset the system and try
again. Remove the headset from the headset base and press
ON/OFF
. Place
the headset back into the headset base. You may also reset by unplugging the
power from the headset base, waiting a few seconds, then plugging it back in.
You cannot deregister the headset(s) and dial pad if another system headset
is in use.
