8) Never change the design or add to the design of the device or electric circuit for this set. If you add to
the design, it can cause danger to the safety. Also if you change the design or add to the design, the
manufacturer’s warranty would be ineffective.
9) If the parts, material or the wiring seem to be overheated or damaged, immediately replace the parts in
accordance with the original specification. Always understand the root cause of the overheating or
damage and correct the danger factors if possible.
10) Some electric circuit parts and device parts have special safety related characteristics that cannot be
judged with the eye. If you replace the parts with a different part with higher voltage, wattage etc, it will
lose the safety characteristics and protection function. Therefore you must use the same part as the one
installed as much as possible.
11) After the repair, always check if the screw, part and wiring are correctly installed. Check if the adjacent
area of the repaired part is damaged.
12) There are some semiconductor devices that can be easily damaged by electricity. When handling these
parts, use the static electricity detection device (ESD) to remove the electrode in the human body.
* Electric current leakage test (Cold Check)
1) Unplug the AC power and connect the ends of the plug with a wire.
2) Turn on the power switch.
3) Connect one end of the insulation tester on one of the leads and connect the other lead to an exposed
metallic part such as antenna, screw, variable adjustor axis etc. for measurement. The resistance value of
the exposed metal part that is connected to the chassis or not connected to the chassis must be infinite
(∞).
* Electric current leakage test (Hot Check)
1) Directly plug the power to the power outlet.
(At this time, do not use the insulation transformer during the test.)
2) Connect one side of the 1.0KΩ, 10W resistance to the exposed metal part of the TV and earth the other
side(location where it is easy to earth such as water pipe etc.) (Refer to the fig.)
3) Measure the voltage of both ends by using the AC voltage meter (1000Ω volt to higher sensitivity).
4) Measure the voltage of each exposed part of the TV.
5) Switch and plug the power plug (opposite electrode) and repeat the measurement.
