Hardware Setup
Installation
Refer to the installation diagram on the following page (the numbers in the
diagram correspond to the numbers of the steps) and do the following:
1. Connect a computer to one of the VS1912’s two Ethernet ports for
configuring settings and uploading media files to the VS1912’s internal
storage.
To begin the initial setup, it’s recommended that you connect the
computer directly to the VS1912’s static (right) LAN port for a
immediate access.
The computer can be disconnected once the setup and file transfer are
complete.

Note:
The left LAN port makes use of DHCP while the right uses a static
IP address (192.168.100.1) and netmask (255.255.255.0).
2. Connect up to 12 DisplayPort display devices directly to any of the
DisplayPorts
on the front of the VS1912.
3. (Optional) Connect speakers to the
Audio
output port.
4. (Optional) If you are using the serial control function, use an appropriate
RS-232 serial cable to connect the computer or serial controller to the
VS1912’s bi-directional
RS-232
Serial ports. The end connecting to the

2. Make sure that the power to all devices connected to the
installation are turned off.
3. Make sure that all devices you will be installing are properly
grounded.
