ALARMS SYSTEM
Alarm for Low Battery Voltage
Alarm for High Battery Voltage
The alarm for low battery voltage indicates a situation of discharge of the accumulator next
to 50% of its nominal capacity. Starting from this discharge level, the accumulator conditions
begin to be compromised as far as it concerns the discharge and maintenance of the output
voltage for high intensities.
This alarm depends on the value id the consumption unplugging voltage (it will always be
between 0.05 volt./elem. or above). If the battery voltage decreases lower than the alarm
value, during more than 20 seconds or 4 minutes (models 30A), the alarm is activated. This
is in order to avoid that an punctual and short overload , such as a motor start-up, activates
this alarm.
The result of this alarm operation is reflected in the following aspects:
The buzzer used in the acoustic alarm is low consumption, the fact that this alarm is
connected a long time not being important. The light indicator, the buzzer and the AUX2
output automatically deactivate when the consumption restart voltage is reached.
The alarm for high battery voltage activates when the accumulators reach a voltage higher
than 0.03 volts/element above the charge final voltage. This can imply a damage in the
control of charge regulation, or a charge from auxiliary generators without regulation
system. If the voltage exceeds this value during more than 20 seconds, the alarm is
activated.
The result of the activation is the following:
The indicator deactivates when the accumulators reach a voltage value lower than the value
activating the alarm.
