2.7. TOWING, LIFTING, AND HAULING
•
Never allow personnel or equipment on the platform while towing, lifting or hauling.
•
Ensure that the platform is completely lowered and the deck extensions retracted prior to
towing, lifting or hauling.
•
This machine should not be towed or lifted except in the event of an emergency, malfunction,
breakdown or loading/unloading. See 6.2 - Emergency towing.
•
Check the capacity of the equipment used for towing, lifting or hauling the machine.
2.8. MAINTENANCE
•
In order to ensure the operational safety of the machine, a maintenance and operational
verification program, taking into account the information provided in this manual and
maintenance manual, must be established by a qualified person.
•
Disconnect the power from the control stations before attempting to perform a maintenance
or repair operation.
•
Never work under the aerial work platform or the lift structure without it being supported and
restrained by the two safety props or by appropriate slinging equipment.
•
Always disconnect the battery when servicing the machine's electrical components or when
welding on the machine.
•
Do not allow smoking, open flame or sparks near the battery.
•
Do not place tools or other metal objects on the battery terminals.
•
The acid contained in the battery is extremely corrosive. Ensure that battery acid does not
contact the skin, eyes or clothing. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment
when servicing batteries.
•
The battery should only be charged in a well-ventilated area.
•
Avoid the projection or spilling of flammable products on the hot parts of the engine (primarily
the manifold and the exhaust pipe).
•
Never perform maintenance or servicing operations on a pressurised hydraulic component or
system: always relieve hydraulic pressure before loosening or removing hydraulic
components.
•
Only use replacement parts or components that are identical or equivalent to original parts or
components.
•
Avoid intervening on the engine when it is running. If such an operation is necessary, do not
wear loose fitting clothing and attach long hair which may become caught or entangled in
rotating parts. Do not perform operations near rotating parts (fan, alternator, belt...).
•
Do not remove the radiator cap while the engine is hot.
•
All modifications of the machine are prohibited without the written approval of the
manufacturer (
Atn
). Unapproved modifications void the warranty and shall engage the liability
of the owner and/or user in the event of an accident.
•
When performing welding or metal cutting operations, precautions must be taken to protect
the chassis from direct exposure to weld and metal cutting spatter
•
Do not use machine as a ground from welding
