IF THERE IS NO PRESSURE
- The pump does not deliver fluid or fluid returns to the tank and does not travel to the
components.
Solutions:
◘ If fluid returns to the tank and does not go to the components, check the relief valve
settings.
IF THE PRESSURE IS LOW OR ERRATIC:
- Cold fluid
- Incorrect viscosity
- Air leak or restriction in the inlet line.
- Pump incorrect working condition.
Solutions:
◘ If cold fluid, start the system and keep the mast elevation function actuated for a few
minutes to raise the temperature.
◘ Operate the machine only at recommended temperatures.
◘ If incorrect fluid viscosity, replace with oil of manufacturer’s recommended grade. Refer to
the “Lubrication” section.
◘ If air leak or restriction in the inlet line, locate and repair the leak.
◘ If the pump does not run properly, check for internal damage. Reassemble if correct and
replace the seals. Replace the pump if necessary.
IF EXCESSIVE WEAR:
- Abrasive contamination or dirt in the fluid.
- Fluid viscosity too low or too high.
- Pressure above the maximum rated capacity of the pump.
- Air leaks or restriction causing cavitation.
Solutions:
◘ If abrasive contamination or dirt in the fluid, determine the cause of contamination.
◘ Replace the filter and repair or replace the worn parts. Replace the oil with new oil of
recommended grade. Refer to the “Lubrication” section.
◘ If fluid viscosity too low or too high, replace with fluid of recommended grade. Refer to the
“Lubrication” section.
◘ If the operating pressure is too high, check the good working order of the relief valve. Adjust
if necessary.
◘ If air leak or restriction in the suction line, remove the cause of cavitation.
