YPOGRAPHICAL CONVENTIONS
The following kinds of formatting in the text are used throughout the manuals to
identify special information.
Convention
Bold
type
Type of information
Is used to refer to titles of parts, chapters and
sections in documents.
When describing API function calls, bold type
denotes a term or character to be typed literally, such
as a function name, a type definition.
Italic
type
Is used to refer to titles of manuals and to emphasize
