wait for the system to be stabilized. The time needed to stabilize a
measurement system is called the “settling time.” The settling time
depends on the measurement range, cable properties and signal
source.
Defaults
The default of the trigger delay is automatic. ATM3500A automatically
selects a delay time for you according to the setting of the
measurement if you do not specify a delay. A list of the default for
each measurement function is shown on
Table 4-4
. The range for the
delay is from 0 to 3600 seconds. User's selection of delay time is
stored in a volatile memory and the default will be restored when the
meter is power-off.
The internal settings of automatic trigger delay
The delay time for automatic trigger delay is determined by the
selection of measurement function, range, and the setting of
integration time and AC filter speed.
The following table shows the default delay time for each
measurement setting.
