NOTE: The response of a modifi cation request may either be “Request sent” or “Successful”; in
either case, user shall retrieve the value to confi rm the new value. User may need to wait for a few
seconds or retrieve a couple times to acquire the new value.
Attenuation:
displays the attenuation setting in dB.
Example #1: In this example, the module in slot 1 reports its attenuation setting on channel 1.

: this command supports modifi cation.
Example #1: In this example, the interface #1 of the slot 7 module’s Attenuation is confi gured to +2 dB.

OpticalPowerAlarm:
displays the alarm status of the optical input power.
Example #1: In this example, the module in slot 1 reports the alarm status of the optical input power as
“MajorLoLo” (e.g. Major alarm with power reading below the low low threshold) on channel 1.
