Internet Connectivity and
Control
You can control The Director Model D3200 via a browser
(Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari) or via Telnet com-
mands. Either way you need a network or direct PC Ethernet
connection by way of the RJ-45 receptacle on the left rear of
The Director. With a direct PC connection you will not need
to use a crossover cable as The Director is auto sensing.
Telnet Versus Browser
Telnet commands are clearly superior for controlling The
Director via an automation system. With Telnet you can mute
zones, turn off the unit and more described on the next pages.
However, for setting the equalization, usually a one time task,
the browser interface is the only method.
Control Using a Browser

Important Note:
The default address for The
Director is 192.168.0.1. If you are
using multiple units, connect them one
at a time changing each amplifier’s IP
address to a unique address compat-
ible with your network. Do not allow
two devices on the network to have
the same address.
