Level controls for input sensitivity
These controls can be used to match the input sensitivity of the individual channels to the output voltage of the connected
signal source. These controls are no volume controls and should only be used for gain matching. The control range ex-
tends from 1.0 V to 8.0 V. The potentiometers do not affect the digital signal inputs.
12
RCA / Cinch signal inputs
The amplifier has RCA connectors for RCA cables that can be connected with the line outputs of a head unit or a signal
processor. The connectors are gold-plated to ensure a better signal transmission.
Note:
It is possible to use the RCA and the digital inputs a t the same time. Please refer to topic 14 on page 26.

Status LED for the digital inputs
This LED indicates the operating status of each channel pair of the digital inputs. Every 5 seconds the LED display changes
between the channel pair A / B and C / D. At first the LED indicates the status of the channel pair A / B and then changes
to channel pair C / D.
LED off
= no digital input signal detected
LED green
= the sample rate of the input signal is 44.1 or 48 kHz
LED yellow
= the sample rate of the input signal is 88.2 or 96 kHz
LED purple
= the sample rate of the input signal is 176.4 or 192 kHz
LED flashes
= if the LED flashes in one of the aforementioned colors, it also signalizes that the DiSAC volume control is
activated in combination with the BRAX DSP.
LED lights permanently
= No DiSAC volume information embedded in the data stream.

Digital signal input in SPDIF format
The BRAX MX4 PRO offers two optical and two coaxial signal inputs in SPDIF format for the direct connection of digital
sources. The sampling rate must be in the range of 32 kHz to 192 kHz (32 - 96 kHz for optical input). The amplifier auto
-
matically switches from the analog RCA input to the digital input of the respective channel pair as it detects a digital data
stream. The analog and digital signals will not be mixed together.
Note:
It is not allowed to use the optical and coaxial digital input of a channel pair at the same time. But it is allowed to use
the optical input on one channel pair and the coaxial input on the other channel pair.
