Entering a Name
1. Press the key labeled with the required
character:
• Once for the first character
• Twice for the second character and so
on
The list of characters is shown below:
2. Select other letters in the same way. The
cursor moves to the right when you press
a different key.

Nootteess::
• When entering the same letter twice or a different
letter on the same key, wait for a few seconds for
the cursor to move automatically, and then select the
next letter.
• You can move the cursor to the right or left by using
the
or
key.
• To delete letters, use the CCA
AN
NCCEELL soft key.
• If you want to shift the case while entering a letter,
press the ## key. After a short waiting period, the last
entered letter will be displayed as a capital letter.
Entering a Pause
A pause is useful when you access an interactive
voice response system, such as an automated banking
system. A pause provides a delay of 3 seconds.
To insert a pause:
1. In Standby mode, press the
EDIT
soft key
while entering a phone number.
2. Press the
key, and select
2:Insert
Pause
by pressing the
SELECT
soft key.
Result: “P” appears at the pause entry.
Searching for and Dialing a Number in
Phonebook
After storing numbers in the Phonebook, you can
search for them by entering a person’s name. You
can also scroll through the whole list of the
Phonebook entries in Standby mode without
accessing the Phonebook menu.
To search for a number by name:
1. Press the
LIST
soft key in Standby mode
and then press the
SELECT
soft key to
access the
Phonebook
option.
Or, press the
MENU
soft key and then
press the
SELECT
soft key.
2. Press the
SELECT
soft key to access
1:Search
.
3. Enter the first few letters of the name by
using the alphanumeric keys, and press
the
SELECT
soft key.
