External Line Transfer (System Telephone)
External Line Transfer (System
Telephone)
An authorised telephone, for example the telephone exchange, can transfer
the exchange line access required for an outgoing call to another internal
telephone for a short period of time. This is useful, for example, when this
telephone is located in a publicly accessible room, and is only occasionally
used for external calls by an employee.
How External Line Transfer Works
External line transfer works like this:
•
The requesting telephone must initiate an internal call with the
telephone authorised to make the exchange to request exchange line
access.
Important:
For an exchange line transfer, the telephone making the transfer needs
the authority level itself to transfer external calls externally.
