Connect NT and ISDN Devices to the S0 Ports
The PBX has 1 internal S
0
port and 1 S
0
port. The connection to the
external S
0
port is possible via a Western modular jack. The connection
to the internal S
0
port is possible via fixed wiring to the 4 clamps b2, b1,
a1 and a2 or directly to a western modular jack.
The COMpact 4410 USB may be extended by two additional S
0
ports
with one COMpact 2S
0
Module.

Module. The module is not in the extent of sup-
ply of the COMpact 4410 USB. It has 1 internal S
0
port and 1 S

port
that can alternatively be switched as internal or external S
0
port. The
switching is done by a three-row jumper. Pay attention to the labelling
on the COMpact 2S
0
Module and insert the jumper into the correct posi-
tion (see also
). Per default this S
0
port is configured as external
S
0
port.
The connection to the S
0
ports is possible via fixed wiring to the 4
clamps b2, b1, a1 and a2. Besides this you have western modular
plugs.
Insert the module between the board rails (slot A) and press it to the
mainboard until it clicks well into it´s position (
Disconnect the device from the 230 Volt power supply and
wait another 10 seconds before you plug a module in or
remove it.
As some of the component parts are sensitive to electrostatic dis-
charge, it is important to discharge yourself before touching the
controller with your hands or with tools. You should touch a
grounded metal device, such as a radiator or the case of a PC.
Please perform the necessary settings on the module before
insertion. This is important for the termination resistors and
the S
0
port configuration (internal/external).
