Switching Call Take-over for Subscribers On/Off
Switching Call Take-over for Subscribers On/Off
This is reasonable for the pick-up of calls to answering machines, fax machines or modems.
If call take-over is enabled for an answering machine and this answering machine takes a call
earlier than a subscriber, the subscriber may take this call back from the answering machine.
The answering machine will receive a busy signal then.
Proceed as follows:

Separately for subscribers

Using the configuration manager
1. Open the following page:

For admin:
Subscriber (scr.) > Properties > Settings
•
For user:
Subscriber Properties > Settings
.
2. In the list field at the top, select the subscriber in question by his name or number.
3. In the
Call take-over
list field under
Special functions
, select one of the following
options:
No
: Calls of the subscriber may not be taken by pick-up.
Global
: The subscriber may take calls to all other subscribers by pick-up.
Group(s)/voice mailbox(es)
: This subscriber may take calls of other
subscribers that are members of groups the subscriber is also member of. It
does not make any difference if the subscriber is currently logged-in or -out.
The subscriber is authorised to take over calls from those voice mailboxes of
which he is the owner. If a voice mailbox has a group as its owner or user, each
subscriber who is a member of the group can use this authorisation to take
over calls.
No
: Calls of this subscriber may not be taken over.
Global
: Calls of this subscriber may be taken over by every other telephone.
Group(s)
: Calls of this subscriber may be taken over by members of groups
the subscriber is also member of. It does not make any difference if the
subscriber is currently logged-in or -out.
