UNDERSTANDING THE BASICS
Powering on the Device
TAURI will begin operating once it is connected to a power source. Please allow up to ten minutes for calibration prior
to use for the most accurate results. If it is your first time powering on the device, please follow the setup wizard on
screen to configure your settings and calibrate your device.
Understanding the Display
TAURI has two primary interfaces:
user
and
admin
. By default, the user will see scanning instructions, the
camera’s video on screen, and a notification to whether or not they have passed or failed their temperature reading. The
settings and additional information may be accessed by clicking the “i” or “gear” icon in the bottom right corner. The
admin’s view includes everything from the user’s view, as well as an active thermal image, the user’s temperature, and
whether or not their face and their face mask are detected. For more details, please see the “default interface” section
of this manual.
Accessing the Settings
After you have followed the setup wizard, the settings will be available by clicking the “gear” icon in the lower right
hand corner on either the user interface or the admin interface. You will be prompted to enter a password, which by
default is “12345”. In order to type in the code, you must tap the area where the password is entered. After doing so,
you will be able to access the settings menu.
