ACTT Xspotter Service Manual
Steering and Suspension
• Check the front wheel bearings. Refer to
the Autocar Wheel End Assembly Service
Manual for the complete inspection
procedure for wheel bearings.
• Inspect front wheel seals for leakage.
• Check the front wheel alignment and
steering stop adjustment. Refer to the front
axle manufacturers’ service documentation
for the complete inspection and adjustment
procedure.
• Check center bolt and springs.
Rear Axle Mounting
• Inspect rear axle mounting for loose
fasteners or cracks.
• Check center bolt and springs, if equipped.
Note: Autocar sets axle stops to provide
maximum turn angle. Clearance of 3/8
inch (9.5 mm) should be observed on full
lock between stub axle and steering stop
adjusting bolt.
INSPECTION 2,400 HOURS
INTERVAL
Description and Operation
(2,400 Hours)
Perform this inspection every 2,400 hours of
operation or yearly (maximum recommended
interval), whichever comes first. This is
commonly referred to as an annual inspection
for single shift tractors.
NOTICE
This inspection includes everything
done during the 150, 300 and 1,200
hour inspections, plus additional items
requiring inspection at this interval.
Major vehicle components such as engine,
transmission and axles may have their
own Preventive Maintenance Inspection
procedures, and Autocar recommends
reviewing each component’s documentation for
its recommended maintenance schedule.
While conducting these inspections record
the results using the Preventive Maintenance
Inspection form available from Autocar.
