Exporting from ER Mapper
You can also use ER Mapper from Earth Resource Mapping to export images
as raster images in BIL (Band Interleaved Line) format along with associated
HDR files. Autodesk MapGuide Server can access BIL files randomly,
increasing performance over regular non-tiled raster images in some situa-
tions. For information about ER Mapper, go to:
http://www.ermapper.com/
Adding Raster Images to Your Map
As stated earlier, you can use raster images as layers that underlay vector
layers, so that, for example, street data could appear on top of an aerial photo
of the city. In this case, you must create a separate raster layer for each raster
image or RIC file. For detailed information about creating a raster layer,
choose Help
Contents, click the Index tab, and look up “raster layers,
creating.”
