Viewing Real 10 Files
Cleaner cannot currently play Real 10 files. Likewise, Cleaner cannot use Real 10 encoded files
as source movies — Real 10 is strictly a distribution format and cannot be recompressed.
When you are finished encoding a Real 10 file, Cleaner will not display it in the Output
window. To view the final Real 10 files, you must use RealPlayer.
You can put an alias to RealPlayer in the Helpers folder within the Cleaner folder. After doing
this, you can easily open the final Real 10 files by selecting them in the Batch window, holding
down the Option key and selecting RealPlayer from the Helpers menu. This launches
RealPlayer and opens the Real 10 file. For more details on using Helpers, see “Helpers” on page
235.
Putting Real 10 Files on a RealServer
Using a RealServer enables realtime streaming of Real 10 files. To do this, you must first install
and properly configure the RealServer software on your video server hardware or use an
Internet Service Provider that hosts Real 10 files. See the RealServer documentation for more
details on setting up your video server.
Once you have properly configured and tested your RealServer and HTTP server, you can link
to the Real 10 files in your HTML pages using the HTML files and RAM files Cleaner can create
or by using an HTML editor that properly supports Real 10.
