Figure 14 Moving the unit
Several people may be required to lift and lower the unit into its final position.
Do not twist the housing. A unit may require extensive realignment if the frame or
housing is subject to excessive torsion.
3.
Anchor the unit
Use the anchor bolts supplied by Automatic Systems (expansion bolt type anchors ½ in diameter x 5 in
length) or another type that is better suited to your floor.
The anchors included may not be suitable for every installation. It is important that
you use the correct anchors for your specific needs. For example, if you are
anchoring the units to a thin slab over a service space, you may need to use through
bolts. Wood flooring, although not recommended, may also require cross braces to
“stiffen” the floor and prevent it from flexing. The Security Entrance Lane must be
secure and sit firmly in place or the units will not be fully level or plumb, which can
affect the photocell alignment and the failsafe opening of the glass obstacles.
Secure the unit firmly by tightening the nuts onto the anchor bolt threads.
•
The anchoring points are located inside the unit
The threaded posts should protrude through the anchoring brackets provided.
•
The open face of the bracket should be facing downDrill the holes in the floor for the supplied
anchors
