RED
This is the positive (+) 12 volt input connection which provides the equalizer with operating voltage. A good source of power for this
connection is the same power source that supplies the head unit (AM/FM/RECEIVER/PLAYER). The power source may be constant
or switched ignition period.
NOTE:
Do not remove the factory supplied fuse holder. Removal of this fuse will void the warranty and cause the unit to be
permanently damaged. Only use recommended fuse ratings when replacing.
ORANGE
This is the remote activation input connection which turns the equalizer controller on and off with the audio system. (+)12 volt power
is supplied from the audio receiver through the power antenna output or remote output lead.
NOTE:
When activating multiple units (Equalizer, Crossover and additional Amplifiers) a relay system must be used to prevent
damage to the audio receiver.
BLACK
This is the negative (-)12 volt input connection. Connect this lead to a solid chassis ground free of paint, plastic, and other non-
conductive materials. This connection should be very secure. The wire should not move.
NOTE:
When using multiple signal processors (Equalizers, Crossover and additional Amplifiers) a common grounding source should
be made to prevent noise problems.
