carburetors. A reading of ON indicates that air has been diverted.
Air Fuel Mixture
Range: 0 to 25.5
The air to fuel mixture, as calculated by the ECM. The ideal mixture is
14.7 to 1.
Air Switch (On / Off)
An indication of where air from the air pump has been directed in engines
with an air management system. ON means that air has been directed
to the air switch for further distribution. OFF means that air has been
directed to the atmosphere.
Async Mode (Yes /No)
An indication of whether extra fuel has been provided during wide open
throttle operation. The extra fuel is provided by triggering extra injector puls-
es which are out of synchronization (asynchronous) with the regular pulses.
Barometric Press (Volts)
Range: 0 to 5 Volts
Barometric pressure. Displayed in volts or kPa. The input is used to help
the ECM compensate for changes in altitude.
Battery Voltage High: (Yes / No)
If the charging system voltage has exceeded a pre-set value (value
depends on controller package) the screen should indicate YES. For
normal operation, the screen should indicate NO.
Battery Voltage Low: (Yes / No)
An indication of whether the battery voltage has fallen below an
acceptable level.
Battery Voltage (Volts)
Range: 0 to 25 Volts
The reading is calculated by the ECM. A normal reading should be 13.8 to
14.5 when running.
Block Learn or Long Term Fuel Trim
A memory file of blocks representing engine load and speed in which a
fuel delivery rate is stored. Ideally, a reading of 128 would display
indicating that no fuel correction is needed. A range of 0 to 127 indicates
that fuel is being subtracted. A range of 129 to 255 indicates that fuel is
being added. It is a long term fuel compensator that operates in
conjunction with the integrator in correcting fuel delivery. Also see
