5.13.5.2 Configure Status Registers
This menu selection allows you to configure Status Registers.
The Status Register is either the Input Register or the Holding
Register. This depends on whether the Modbus mode is configured
as Slave or Master.
Modbus Master - Holding Register:
The Start Address for the Status Register is in the range 40001 to
45000.
Modbus Slave – Input Register:
The Start Address for the Status Register is in the range 30001 to
35000.
From the External Interfaces Menu (5.13.1), perform the
following:
Use the arrow down button to select MODBUS, then press Enter.
Use the arrow down button to select Configure Status Registers,
then press Enter twice.
Type the Start Address, then press Enter.
Type the Number of Registers, then press Enter.
To confirm the settings, press Enter once more.
5.13.5.3 Configure Command Registers
This menu selection allows you to configure command registers.
The Command Register is identical to the Holding Register. Only the
Start Address (first Register Number) is specified, and the
Command Register consists of 3 Registers where only the the Start
Address (first Register Number) is defined.
Note that when using Modbus Master, make sure that the range for
the Command Register and Status Register does not overlap. See
example below.
