Log Installation
!
The logs are fragile, especially after being exposed to heat.
Make sure the gas control valve is “OFF” and the heater is cool prior to conducting service.
Failure to position the parts in accordance with diagrams or failure to use only parts specifically approved
with this appliance may result in property damage or personal injury.
If using propane (LP), convert the appliance before installing the media (see page 42).
The burner must be correctly positioned before installing the media. Make sure the burner is fully seated
and the pilot is properly aligned. See page 42 for details on burner removal.
Install the logs following the directions below.
Install the optional firebacks before installing the logs.

The log stands are shipped on top of the burner. Make sure they are in place with the mounting studs
inserted through the holes on the stands.

The rear log has two holes on the bottom. Place it over the two tabs at the back of the firebox.
