General Guidelines
Keep the display dry at all times to prevent any unintended operation of the touchscreen.
During cleaning and disinfection, lock the screen to avoid any unintended device operation.
In situations that may result in the unintended operation of the device (for example during
cleaning, transport, or device movement), lock the touchscreen.
DO NOT place heavy objects on top of the tablet as this may damage the touchscreen.
The touchscreen surface is easily scratched. Avoid touching it with a sharp object such as
a pencil.
Image burn-in occurs when a fixed pattern is displayed on the screen for a prolonged
period of time. Avoid image burn-in by limiting the amount of static content on the display.
Use of a screen saver or turning off the display when it is not in use is suggested.
To maximize the life of the backlight in the screen, allow the backlight to automatically turn
off in the power management settings.
Cleaning Guidelines
NEVER clean the tablet with its power on.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the exterior of the tablet.
If water or liquid is spilled onto the tablet, wipe it dry and clean as soon as possible. DO
NOT leave the tablet wet.
If the tablet gets wet in an environment where the temperature is 0°C (32°F) or below,
damage from freezing may occur. Make sure to dry the wet tablet.
Cleaning in a Healthcare Environment
Healthcare establishments should define and document cleaning policies and procedures.
Clean all dust and debris from the tablet before it is disinfected.
To disinfect apply appropriate 75% Ethyl Alcohol to the cleaned areas and allow the tablet
