Read all safety instructions carefully before handling the attachment

When  attaching  the  attachment  to  the  loader,  ensure  that  the  locking  pins  of
the loader's quick attach plate are positively  in  the lower  position  and  that
they have locked the attachment to the loader.

The sand / salt spreader is to be used by one operator at a time. Do not approach
or  allow  others  to  approach  the  controls  of  the  loader  or  the  area  where  the
spreader is in operation.

Pay attention to the surroundings and any other persons and machines moving in
the  vicinity.  Pay  attention  to  the  contours  of  the  terrain  and,  for  example,  loose
rocks as well as other hazards, such as branches and trees reaching the driver's
area. On slippery areas drive calmly and deliberately.

Never  leaver  the  driver’s  seat  when  the  spreader  is  running.  Keep  a  safety
distance at least one meter between a running spreader and other persons. Shut
down  the  loader  engine  and  release  any  residual  pressure  before  filling  the
spreader manually or going near the spreader.

Always  transport  the  spreader  as  low  and  close  to  the  machine  as  possible  to
keep the centre  of  gravity  low.  Make  sure  not  to tilt  or lift  the  spreader  in  a  way
that  material  could  spill  from  the  spreader.  Operate  the  controls  of  the  loader
slowly and in calm manner especially during driving.

Do  not  leave  the  driver’s  seat  when  the  loader  boom  is  lifted.  Going  under  a
raised attachment  or  loader  boom is  dangerous,  as  the  boom may  lower  due  to
loss  of  stability,  mechanical  fault  or  if  other  person  operates  the  controls  of  the
loader.

Lower  the  spreader  firmly  on  the  ground  before  leaving  the  driver’s  seat.  Make
sure that the attachment is properly supported during filling, or any maintenance
or  inspections.  Never  perform  any maintenance  or  adjustments  while  the  loader
engine  is  running.  Ensure  that  the  spreader  is  properly  supported  during  all
inspections, maintenance procedures, or adjustments.

Ensure  that  the  unattached  spreader  is  supported  properly.  Unmount  the
attachment with care and use the outriggers of the spreader.

Inspections, cleaning and removing of blockages must be done carefully. Do not
remove  the  safety  grille  from  the  spreader.  Do  not  modify  the  structure  of  the
attachment or the loader in a way that would affect safety.

Make  sure  to  use  only  an  attachment  that  is  in  good  condition.  Perform  daily
inspections and read the  instructions  regarding  service  and maintenance.  Never
operate  the  attachment if  the  hydraulic  systems  of  both  the  attachment  and  the
loader are not completely intact. Check the spreader axles regularly.

Do not modify the  attachment in  a manner  that  would  affect  its  safety. To make
sure that the attachment is safe, use only specified spare parts.

Make sure that the loader is equipped with necessary safety equipment, and that
they  are  in  order.  Seat  belt  must  be  used.  If  there  are  specific  risks  at  the
operating area, appropriate safety equipment must be used.

Also read the safety instructions of  the loader from  the  operator’s manual  of  the
loader. Get familiar with the controls of the loader and how to drive it safely, and
also  note  the  effects  of  cold  temperatures  or  slippery  surfaces  to  the  handling
charasteristics of the loader. On slippery areas drive calmly and deliberately.
