If you press
Accept
, the ongoing call is disconnected automatically and the PTT call is
connected. Alternatively, the ongoing call can also get disconnected and the PTT call is
connected if the following is fulfilled:
- The handset is configured to answer invitations automatically
- The user does not respond to the invitation within 10 seconds
- The invitation has higher priority than the ongoing call
If you decline the invitation, then you can rejoin the PTT call later.
A PTT invitation received as an incoming call is indicated by the
Push-to-talk
(
) icon.
Procedure
Accepting a PTT invitation as an incoming call:
1. Press
Accept
or the
Off-hook
(
) key.
If you receive a PTT invitation during an ongoing call, you cannot accept or decline the
invitation by pressing
or
respectively.
By default, the handset starts in the inverted mute and loudspeaking modes, but you can
configure it differently in a PTT group.

To open the microphone for transmitting, press and hold the
Push-to-talk
(
) button.
When you release the
Push-to-talk
button, the microphone is muted again.
The
Multifunction
button can also be configured to function as the
Push-to-talk
button.

The system disconnects the ongoing call and connects to the PTT call.

About this task
Use this procedure to accept a PTT invitation that you receive as:
• A message
• A message during an ongoing call
When you receive an invitation, the system sends a warning signal before disconnecting the
current call and connecting to the PTT call. A PTT message can contain up to 1000 characters.

.
Depending on the configuration of the invitation, the handset accepts the invitation
automatically, and relays the message in inverted mute and loudspeaking modes.
