Received messages
Receive a message
When a text message is received, the message alert signal sounds. The
New message
icon, and
the content of the received message are automatically displayed. The icon remains in the display
until all new messages are opened. If the message is received during a call, a beep notifies the
user.
Note:
If the phone is locked with a PIN, the user must unlock the phone to access a received
message.
Using the handset soft keys and menu selections, a received message can be replied to or
forwarded to another party. The sender of the message can be called and a call number can be
included in the message text. While reading a received message, the user can return to the
Inbox
,
review the current inbox content and then return to the message being read. A received message
can be read later by selecting
Close
. A received message is stored in the
Inbox
.
Receive a message with request for an answer
In the status bar, a message with request for answer is indicated the same way as an ordinary
message. In the message list, the message with request for answer is indicated by the
icon.
Accepting or rejecting a message
Procedure
Press the
Accept
or
Reject
soft key.
The option
Delete
is not available for a message with request for answer. An unacknowledged
message can only be deleted from the message list.
When an acknowledged message has been replied to, the icon
Read message
(
) is shown in
the message list. The text
Accepted
or
Rejected
, and time and date is also added in the
acknowledged message.
