Automatic dialpad lock
The Automatic dialpad lock feature disables key input if you do not press
any keys for a configurable period of time. To configure the number of
seconds the system waits before enabling dialpad lock, change the
“second value” timer in the Power save menu; if you configure this value
to 0, the system waits 30 seconds before activating dialpad lock. For

“Configuring Power
save” (page 198)
.
To enable Automatic dialpad lock, perform the following steps:

key one or more times to return to the
idle display.

Open the
General
settings menu using the steps in
“Accessing the General settings menu” (page 159)
.
2.
Press the
Up
or
Down
key to highlight the
Security
option.
3.
Press the
Select
soft key.
4.
Press the
Up
or
Down
key to highlight the
Automatic keylock
option.
5.
Press the
Select
soft key.
The left soft key label becomes a lock icon.
6.
Press the
Up
or
Down
key to disable the
Automatic key lock
(
Off
option) or to set up timer
before the dial pad is automatically locked.
7.
Press the
Select
soft key.
